Where it all began....

Katie started dancing at the age of 9 as a disco Freestyle dancer, Katie went to competitions travelling up and down the country and achieved premier champion status. When Katie reached the age of 15 she wanted to become more than just a freestyle dancer so then went on to study all different styles of dance, jazz, latin, street, ballet and tap, during this time she realised that her passion for dance and musical theatre was more than just a hobby. Katie then went on to receive professional training from dance & musical theatre experts throughout the UK as well as training at the dance industry experts the Edge performing arts centre in LA and Broadway Dance centre in New York.
At the age of 16 Katie auditioned for numerous well known Musical theatre schools and won a DADA (dance and drama award) to go and train at ‘The Urdang Academy’ which she graduated from in 2010. During her time at Urdang she was taught by several industry professionals and gained the knowledge and experience required to further her career. After Graduating she went on to perform in numerous European tours and pantomimes.

In 2013 Katie decided to step away from performing and started teaching to help others achieve their dreams, she is a qualified dance teacher with the I.D.T.A ( international dance teachers association) and is a member of the A.D.F.P which allows children to take part in exams and also disco freestyle competitions. She loves teaching and working with children of all ages, Katie works hard to ensure all children in her classes have fun and fulfil their full potential.

Katie has been running Kreative for 6years now and has helped children become world champions, go off to musical theatre colleges and also taught and progressed dancers into dance teachers.
